How do I stop vspdfprsrv.exe starting up on booting the computer?
Solution
Q:
How do I stop vspdfprsrv.exe starting up on booting the computer?
A:
start regedit and locate the key named
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
There you should see a registry entry named vspdfprsrv.exe. Delete this entry.
With this solution vspdfprsrv.exe will not be loaded at boot time. When you send a printout the printer driver will launch vspdfprsrv.exe if it is not running so that the creator will popup for viewing your print out, if after generating your printout you 'hit' the close button for closing the creator window vspdfprsrv will still stay in memory, if you do not want this to happen then you need to create a new registry entry.
So, start regedit and locate the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Visage Software\PDF Printer\Options
Right click over the 'options' entry in registry and select 'New|DWORD Value' from the popup menu.
Enter 'StayBackground' as the name and specify a value of 0 (zero).
This way vspdfprsrv will not stay on background when you are closing creators window.
